Technology...=] (Yellow Social Studies)

Over the past thirty years, technology has not only improved, but new technology has been invented. After interviewing three members of my family, I found out that a lot of the technology we use today was not open to them when they were our age. However, out of all that has been improved, the most important technological improvement was the advance in computers and the Internet. These days, everyone, adults and children alike, perform most of their tasks on the computer. Children are given projects to type on the computer or they have to do research on the Internet. Most adults' work consists of working on a computer. There are even medical uses for computers. X-rays are examined on computers, and so are other tests such as MRIs, blood tests, and ultra sounds. Through computer technology, the GPS/navigation system was created, too. Now, finding the directions to a certain place is as easy as 1,2,3! The improvement of computers and the Internet has made life not only easy, but very manageable. People can keep records of their daily plans on the calender on the computer, and they can communicate with others, too. In the future, I hope there are even more advances in this field of technology for the next generation.
